How Often does your Men’s Ministry Meet?:  Monthly

Meeting, Day, Time, Location:  3rd Monday; 6:30 pm; Fellowship Hall J.A.P.

MINISTRY AREA:  

EVANGELISM:  Our Pastor Tommy Ross in his first year here has really hit the ground running – starting up new things that I think is bringing back people and getting the growth of evangelism back in our church. Evangelism brings excitement back.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT:  1) We have LRE team that meet on Wednesday – vist in the community, 2) Couple connect groups that meet in homes each week, these are bible study group – study & fellowship together each week.

PRAYER ADVOCACY:  We have a Friday morning prayer time (mens group) that meet at the church- Pray for needs and events that have happened during the week.

HUNGER ADVOCACY:  Have a small food pantry in the church. Help in preparing/serving meals before Wednesday service. This is something real special and the whole church is involved.

MISSIONS:  We have done work in the community – For people on their homes, wheelchair ramps, painting. Helped with the shoe Box ministries – sending Christmas boxes to Mexico and the Philippines (Dog Poster/Lisa Nelson) Coat/Blanket for homeless in Atlanta- headed up by Walter Pope & Larry Evans

DISASTER RESPONSE:  1) We have LRE team that meet on Wednesday – vist in the community, 2) Couple connect groups that meet in homes each week, these are bible study group – study & fellowship together each week.

PRISON MINISTRY:   Have a jail ministry that one of our men theads up at the county jail.

SCOUTING:  Jerry Aldridge member of men’s club is a long time Scouting Director. We have some young men in our church who are now Eagle Scouts and still help in scouting.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:  We have several men that are S.S. teachers in our church. But the most development in our church leadership is done with our young people assisting in children church and other group meetings.

COMMUNICATIONS:  Shepards group basically call and communicate with other people of the church (start pray chains) in time of illness & death.. Phone tree – Gail Norton/ Ryan Norton post business & news to church member by phone.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
